Engagement & ESG

Living social responsibility

Corporate social responsibility is very important to us. We understand this to mean not only financial support or support through donations in kind from institutions or projects, but also attach importance to providing effective and sustainable help. For example, we support schools, associations and charitable organizations with their web and brand presence.

We pursue a very balanced recruitment policy in which all genders are taken into account.

We employ young people and train our employees in a wide variety of subject areas.

We pay our employees in Germany and abroad a fair wage that reflects their performance.

Not only do we regularly plant trees to reduce CO², but we also host exclusively in data centers supplied with green electricity. Our office is powered by 100% green electricity.

Through our voluntary commitment to supranational organizations, we support their efforts and goals.

We support UNESCO, Blue Shield International and other organizations on a voluntary basis in their efforts to reduce poverty, education and inequality worldwide.

For every new customer we buy trees worldwide, which every new customer can plant themselves via a link.

World Heritage 934

Since 2010, we have been photographing the places, sites and landscapes designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites under our LimesMedia®brand and making them available to UNESCO and the national UNESCO commissions free of charge.

These are incorporated via UNESCO into the website www.unesco.org and in exhibitions and marketing materials to promote the World Heritage Sites.

We also make our photographs of UNESCO World Heritage Sites available to non-commercial projects, institutions, universities, scientific institutions, students, teachers, textbook publishers and ministries of culture all over the world for use in textbooks, teaching materials or for educationally useful board games.

We support The Blue Shield with the administration of their website and print media. The Blue Shield is an independent, neutral, non-profit organization that protects cultural heritage worldwide during armed conflicts and disasters.

Its work is based on international law, in particular the Hague Convention of 1954 and the two protocols (1954, 1999) on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict, which form part of international humanitarian law. This set of rules limits the impact of armed conflicts on people and property for humanitarian reasons.

Other foundations include international legal instruments, the UN and UNESCO cultural protection agenda and initiatives such as the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. The Blue Shield advises UNESCO on the protection of cultural property in conflicts and has a legally enshrined mandate in accordance with the Second Protocol of 1999.

We are a member of Reporters Without Borders.

Reporters Without Borders: Investigate, accuse, support – Reporters Without Borders documents violations of press freedom and freedom of information worldwide and alerts the public when journalists and their staff are in danger. Reporters Without Borders campaigns for more security and better protection for journalists.

As a member of Tree Nation, we help to improve and offset the CO² emissions of the industrial world by planting trees every month. We plant a tree every month for all our employees and as a company in general. We also give tree sponsorships to our customers when they order certain services.

We support the donation platform HaitiHilfe.com, a private initiative for the direct and efficient support of educational projects in Haiti.

The goal and mission of HaitiHilfe is to constantly improve access to education and school conditions for children in Haiti, e.g. by rebuilding the “Centre Pedagogique de la Montagne Noire” school near Petion Ville (suburb of the destroyed capital Port-au-Prince).

We support the donation platform Main Kind e.V. in the IT and design sector, which has been campaigning against child poverty in and around Frankfurt am Main for years.

The initiative is supported by people from the Rhine-Main region who are committed to the education and development of all children in Frankfurt, regardless of politics, religion or ideology. The aim is to give disadvantaged children access to education and entertainment.

The TV 1860 Petterweil e.V. is the oldest sports club in Karben, with around 800 members, divided roughly equally between the two departments of handball and gymnastics. The age structure of the club is also remarkable: some members join the TVP shortly after birth, while the oldest members are well over 90 years old. We support the club with its web presence in terms of external perception and hosting.

Turnverein Gonzenheim 1894 e.V. in Bad Homburg v.d. Höhe is a meeting place for young and old and offers a balance to everyday life with its extensive range of sports and activities. With over 1,100 members, the club is an important local institution. Youth development and parent-child activities are particularly important to the club. We support the association in the areas of IT and design.

The Obernhain Volunteer Fire Brigade together with the districts of Wehrheim, Pfaffenwiesbach and Friedrichsthal, provides fire protection and general assistance for the municipality of Wehrheim. This includes all types of fires, traffic accidents, floods, storm operations and even a cat in a tree. We support the Obernhain volunteer fire department in hosting their website.

Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium (KFG ) in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe is a grammar school with a rich tradition and a wide range of educational opportunities. The school places particular emphasis on bilingual education and offers bilingual lessons in English and German from Year 5 onwards. In addition, the KFG supports pupils interested in science through special STEM classes and programs. A wide range of study groups, exchange programs and projects complement everyday school life and support the individual development of students. We support the KFG with its internet presence and website hosting.

The Martin-Niemöller-Schule (MNS) in Wiesbaden is a full G9 grammar school with a special focus on the STEM subjects (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology).
